Editorial & Review Policy
This policy explains how the formulas, explanatory content, assumptions, review dates, and corrections on HRCalculator.net are maintained — and how we describe that work honestly, without overstating professional or legal review.
Purpose and Scope
HRCalculator.net publishes formula-based educational calculators. Every result is a deterministic calculation from the values you enter and the assumptions shown on each page. This policy covers how those formulas and their supporting content are built, checked, and updated over time.
How a Calculator Is Built
Each calculator follows the same documented path:
- Define the specific user problem the calculator is meant to help with.
- Select a transparent, widely understood formula or method for that problem.
- Implement the logic as deterministic code that returns the same output for the same input.
- Validate the logic against known, worked, or golden-case examples.
- Document the inputs, assumptions, and limitations shown alongside the result.
- Add version and review metadata (engine version, last-reviewed date, next-review date).
Formula and Content Review
Formula code and explanatory content are checked against the site’s own documented method for that calculator. Review confirms that the implementation matches the stated formula and that the assumptions and limitations are described accurately. Review does not certify that a tool is legally current or compliant with any jurisdiction’s rules, and no page should be read that way.
What Triggers a Review
- A formula correction or reported calculation error.
- A user-reported issue with a result, assumption, or explanation.
- A documentation or assumption correction.
- A source change, where a specific page identifies and uses an external source.
- A scheduled next-review date being reached.
Review Status
Each calculator exposes its engine version, last-reviewed date, and next-review date. When a scheduled review is due or a change is in progress, the calculator shows a “Review update pending” status so the current state is always visible.
Independent Reviewers
No independent reviewer is currently represented as part of a public review panel. Formulas and content are maintained through documented methods, versioning, review dates, and regression testing. We do not claim independent professional review unless a reviewer is specifically identified here.
Independence and Limits
HRCalculator.net is an independent educational calculator resource. Nothing on this site implies endorsement, certification, or affiliation with any government body, tax authority, payroll provider, law firm, or regulatory agency. Results are educational estimates, not professional advice, and should be verified before you rely on them.
